- Evaluation of available nutrients (basic cations, phosphorus, nitrogen, micro nutrients) in the soil of the study area depending on land-use and soil management
- Analysis of nitrogen availability as a function of soil management by
- Identification of the origin of the acquired nitrogen (fertilizer nitrogen vs. nitrogen from the mineralization of organic matter)
- Evaluation of the depth from which nitrogen is taken up by the plant
- Quantification of nitrogen uptake efficiency
- Comparative evaluation of the efficiency of conventional granular fertilizer and liquid fertilizer
- Identification of the depth of soil of the water taken up by the plants
- Implementation of the results with regard to optimized, sustainable soil management
